National Professional Qualification: Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)

Rebecca Lewis, Director of Primary Education, Castleford Academy Trust.

Rebecca was previously a local authority senior adviser in East Riding and Hull, and Executive Principal of an outstanding large primary school and an improvement cluster lead within large multi academy trust. In her work for Castleford Academy, she is responsible for the trust CPD strategy. She has extensive experience in facilitating professional learning for teachers and leaders at all levels of the profession.

Jo O’Brien, Assistant Head Teacher, Castleford Academy Trust.

In her current role, Jo is responsible for planning Castleford Academy’s CPD programme as well as being the Induction Tutor for ECTs. She leads the Five Towns ITT Partnership working with two universities and colleagues in primary and secondary schools across the hub communities. Jo is an experienced SLE and an accredited facilitator for The National College for Teaching and Leadership.

Christina McGhie, Director for Teacher Development and Pedagogy, Pontefract Academies Trust.

Christina has a proven track record as a highly effective secondary Science teacher and leader. She is passionate about teacher development, having designed and delivered training for teachers at all levels, and is an experienced facilitator for the NPQLT and NPQLTD programmes. In her role at Pontefract Academies Trust, Christina leads on the trust-wide development of pedagogy and professional learning across both primary and secondary phases. She firmly believes that developing expert teachers and leaders is key to tackling educational disadvantage and ensuring that all children leave school with the best possible qualifications and improved life chances.
